Burial Grounds of Horses from 2000 Years Ago in France [Photos of Wild Horses]
Archeology can tell us a lot about horses and their value to society. In France, archeologists have found nine burial grounds with the skeletons of many horses within. While they are unsure of the cause it appears that battle and/or ritual sacrifice are the main explanations.
